Thoughts worth more...

I know it has been awhile since I wrote a post of what is going on or what I am thinking. I have a few things I wanted to write and here they are.

First, I just wanted to say something about what we say to someone who has had a loss. We say things like "until you get over it" and think the person needs to "get over it", whatever "it" is. But, I was just thinking about something. Instead of "getting over it" I think we should be healed and be able to remember the one we lost...to death or whatever. Just my thoughts worth more than a penny :-D

Also, I was thinking about this. I am using six week body makeover to lose weight and I've lost about 50 pounds now. If God blesses us with a child (or children), it will be okay. I won't be upset because I lose my figure or whatever. I know the way to lose the weight again. :-D So, God, I'm all ready for the baby blessing to come to me! :-D

When Sparrows Fall

Secrets. There are many secrets in this book When Sparrows Fall by Meg Moseley. Miranda Hanford lost her husband almost two years ago. She named his half-brother Jack guardian of her six children. Jack likes to count things and he notices things are strange in Miranda's household. Too strange and full of laughter, but also mystery. Who is this woman and what secrets does she hold close to her heart? And what secrets does her pastor Mason Chandler hide?

This book is a captivating read. I recommend it!

Secrets of the Vine for Women

I read this book in about a day! It was such a wonderful read. I'll probably let friends borrow it. I advise all women to have a read. It is about John 15 and how we can abide in Christ. I'm not sure what else to say except read it!

Just to chat...

You know sometimes I just want to chat with people...anyone. Like right now...lol...and I will in a moment.

Oh and I feel so bad that I don't write about me anymore, but about the books I have read. :-s Sorry I haven't taken the time to really tell you all how it is and what's going on.

I will say this though...I have been losing weight! :-D So far 25 pounds. Yay me!

I think that's it for now.

Here Burns My Candle-book review

Here Burns My Candle by Liz Curtis Higgs is packed full of history, romance, betrayal, war, death, and spiritual renewal. It is a version of the Ruth story of the Bible. I enjoyed the history and parts of this book. At times, it was slow to get moving, but I held out for the long hall and am glad I did. I highly recommend this book.

Book Review

I just finished reading Vicki Hinze's Deadly Ties. It's one of those suspense books that you aren't sure what will happen next and you hope all the 'good guys' live. It was really well written and it had my attention from the beginning. I highly recommend it if you like these kinds of books.

Lioness Arising Review

Lioness Arising by Lisa Bevere is an interesting read. The book tells of different characteristics of lionesses and lions. At a few points, I did cry. I was so touched. I'm looking forward to seeing how the things in the book will appear in my life.

Book Review

The book is called "The Charlatan's Boy" by Jonathan Rogers. This author is a new one for me, but I must say, he is a great writer. I was interested from the start. The story is fantasy fiction and I recommend it. Find out about Grady and what he learns about himself and his background.
